I’m an amateur baker and love to bake anything that puts a huge smile on people’s faces! Excited to be given this opportunity to join with other pro and amateur bakers for a good cause.

What type of cupcake will you be bringing to CupcakeCampLA?
Carrot Cake with Orange Cream Cheese Frosting. “Backup” cupcake will be Devil’s Food with Mocha Buttercream Frosting.

Why do you want to be part of Cupcake Camp LA?
It’s for a great cause! I enjoy baking and this gives me the opportunity to participate in a rare event with other fellow bakers and maybe even walk away with some great tips and recipes!

What makes a great cupcake?
It’s all about the flavor….you can have an awesome looking cupcake, but if it’s lacking in flavor, what’s the point?

What’s your favorite cupcake flavor?
I love white cake with coconut frosting and red velvet is always a winner.

Do you have a favorite cupcake memory?
I had bought a couple of cupcakes at a local cupcake bakery and I was driving around with my little dog in the car with me. I had to stop and run into a convenience store for just a minute, and when I came back to the car, my dog had apparently opened up the cupcake box and there was wrappers and pieces of cake everywhere. Gotta love it.

Got a good cupcake tip?
Fill the cups using a pastry bag – makes the cake more consistent and even when baking (not to mention it’s less messy) and if the recipe calls for “sifted” flour…SIFT the flour, makes a world of difference. Don’t skimp on the frosting…one of the best things about cupcakes IS the frosting!
